Hi, great reviews! It really helped me! But I still couldn’t make a decision. I have one question: I have had multiple teachers and learned chords, the basics of reading notes, and a few scales. I would very much like to build on those and also learn music theory, the fretboard, speed, soloing and improvising, techinque, etc. I taught myself for a few years and learned songs by ear and from that learned different techniques and ideas. But the only reason I know scales and how to solo is from the PATTERN of the scales. Not the actual notes. So which website do you think will help me learn that as well as build on what I already learned the basics of?
Thanks so much,
John

Hi John,
Glad the site is helping!
That’s a great situation to be in…At your higher skill level, both memberships will have what you need.
We prefer JamPlay overall (according to our rating algorithm), but if you want to save $5 per month, Guitar Tricks is definitely worth trying.
If you’re still on the fence, one cheap way to test them both out is to sign up to both for only $14.96:
1. 25% off coupon for JamPlay
2. 14-day free trial of Guitar Tricks
Have fun learning guitar!
